Perception (Performance, Berlin 2016)

We are not just one person. We do not have an essential, core personality. Each one of us is a hundred, a million, a legion of shades and possibilities. The things we see when we look at someone say as much about us as they do about the person in front of us. What we see is not what we perceive and even if we look at the same things we never perceive the same. Our minds are a filter through which we run our environment and depending on how that filter works we shape our surroundings, in our heads or in the physical world. The essays incorporate physical description, expression and movement and connected to that emotional imprints of their character on me, all filtered through my perception.

The essays were given to several artists that have never met the person in question. Through their way of expression and communication they recreate the picture that essay evokes in their mind, through drawing, music and dance performance. In that way, a second filter is applied to the first one, taking the brainchild on a more emotional level, which again leaves a lot of room for the perception of the onlooker.

Kunstworkshops mit Geflüchteten

Im Frühling 2016 habe ich begonnen, Kunstworkshops gemeinsam mit anderen Freiwilligen für und mit Bonner Geflüchteten zu veranstalten. Hierfür haben wir uns einen kreativen Raum in einer Bonner Flüchtlingsunterkunft eingerichtet.

Bonner Schule

Seit dem Jahr 2012 bin ich Mitglied der Bonner Schule, einer Gemeinschaft junger Kreativer, die das kulturelle und künstlerische Leben in Bonn mitgestalten wollen.In dem leer stehenden Haus in der Friedrichstraße, das leider Ende 2014 abgerissen werden musste, haben wir Kunstausstellungen, Workshops, Lesungen, Konzerte und andere Veranstaltungen organisiert. Aktuell sind wir aufgrund fehlender Räumlichkeiten leider nicht mehr so aktiv wie früher, es werden hier und da aber noch Veranstaltungen an anderen Orten von Mitgliedern der Bonner Schule organisiert.
